Demand Response pays large commercial & industrial electric consumers to curtail loads at critical times on the regional electric grid to help prevent blackouts and system peaks. Under current pricing, 1,000 kW of curtailment can bring revenues and savings to participating facilities of almost $500,00 over the next several years.
