Public Health Nurses

The Berkshire Public Health Alliance is seeking backup, on call, part-time Public Health Nurses. Back up nurses may assist with disease investigation, contact tracing, administration of vaccinations, TB Directly Observed Therapy or other public health nursing duties.

These are off-site positions. The Public Health Nurse will be expected to have a home office and spend much of his/her time in the field. Flexible hours are possible.

PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE POSITION(S)
Location: Berkshire County
Title: Public Health Nurse
Pay Rate:   $32-35/hour, less than 17.5 hours per week
Education: BSN preferred, current MA nursing license required
Category: Part-time, On-call, un-benefitted position
Experience: At least two years’ experience in public health nursing, community nursing or similar preferred.

Other Requirements: Must have reliable Internet, cell phone and computer.

The Berkshire Public Health Alliance is a collaborative network formed through an inter-municipal agreement (IMA) that allows communities to share resources, staff, and programs.  It was established in the fall of 2011 and is currently composed of 24 Berkshire County municipalities. The Alliance provides comprehensive public health nursing services to multiple communities throughout the county.
