Thomas Matuszko
Executive Director
Thomas Matuszko is responsible for the overall operation of the agency under the direction of the Commission. Represents the agency with local, regional, state, and federal officials and agencies. Tom manages staff to ensure that the agency mission, as well as regional and local needs, are being met Tom oversees agency budget and finances.
Laura Brennan
Assistant Director & Economic Development Program Manager
Laura Brennan serves as BRPC's Assistant Director and also leads the Economic Development Planning Program, which includes working with municipalities on specific priorities and coordinating the CEDS (Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy) on a regional scale according to the federal EDA's requirements.
Marianne Sniezek
Office Manager
Marianne Sniezek oversees office management and human resource functions for the agency, supervising administrative staff and providing support to the Commission and its committees. She assists in the agency's financial management and reporting and development of BRPC personnel, operating policies, and procedures.
Linda Ludwig
Principal Finance Administrator
Directs accounting activities related to daily business operations. Processes payroll, prepares bill payments, manages accounts receivable and prepares financial statements. Assists with audit by outside accountant.
Kate Hill Tapia
Office Administrator
Responsibilities include reception, mail, phone, website updates, writing and coordinating monthly e-newsletter, minutes and agendas for BRPC committees, and Program support as needed.
Alecia Herrick

Cornelius Hoss
Community Planning and Development Program Manager
Cornelius (C.J.) Hoss manages the Community Planning and Community Development programs, supervising planning and development staff and managing program budgets. These program areas provide support for municipalities with regard to master plans, open space planning, zoning bylaws, shared services, and more.
Seth Jenkins
Senior Planner
Seth Jenkins serves as planning staff for land use and zoning projects, training, and technical assistance requests, and comprehensive planning such as master and open space and recreation plans, including implementation.
Brett Roberts
Senior Planner
Brett Roberts serves as planning staff for regional strategies in housing, working with communities to implement policy and regulatory changes, writing grants, community outreach, data collection, and overseeing work related to Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) administration.

Christie Lewis supports the implementation of the Community Development Block Grant (CDGB) Home Improvement Program and the Community Economic Development Assistance Corporation (CEDAC) Home Modification Loan Program, a state loan program that helps people live more independently at home.

Mark Maloy
GIS, Data and IT Manager
Mark Maloy manages GIS (Geographic Information System), data and information technology services at BRPC. Mark also manages the Berkshire Benchmarks program and accompanying website. Mark provides oversight of BRPC’s network, web page and computer hardware and software.
Rebecca Slick
Part-Time Berkshire Group Purchasing Program Coordinator
As Group Purchasing Coordinator, Rebecca assists 28 Berkshire County communities in purchasing products and services through a competitive bidding process that includes all aspects of MGL Chapter 30B bidding, such as Chapter 90 pre-qualification for MassDot projects and Highway products through the solicitation of bids for a variety heating and fuel products for municipal needs.

Melissa Provencher manages the Environmental and Energy program including the Berkshire Brownfields Program, supervising BRPC's Environmental and Energy staff and providing leadership and guidance on technical aspects of Environmental and Energy programs. Melissa develops and administers the Environmental and Energy Program budget.

Courteny Morehouse serves as a Principal Planner focused on projects related to municipal vulnerability preparedness, natural hazard mitigation, 604b and S.319 water quality programs, and NPDES stormwater requirements.
Sherdyl Fernandez-Aubert

Sheryl Fernandez-Aubert assists communities and conservation organizations in creating a more sustainable and resilient Berkshire region. Sherdyl's primary focus is clean energy planning, including reducing energy use and identifying renewable energy opportunities, addressing natural hazards and climate change impacts, and protecting the natural environment.

Public Health Program Manager
Laura Kittross manages the Public Health Program, supervising public health staff and providing leadership and guidance on technical aspects of public health projects. She develops and administers the Public Health Program budget.

Lydia Shulman is the first point of contact for the Berkshire Public Health Alliance,  assisting boards of health in meeting their public health mandates. Assists Public Health staff in identifying funding opportunities, creating and maintaining the Alliance and Berkshire County Board of Health Associations programs. Sandra Martin serves as a lead staff person for complex Public Health Projects, including emergency preparedness planning activities and support to the Berkshire Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coalition.

Nancy serves as a part-time, off-site nurse working to prevent disease, reduce the effects of preventable chronic diseases and premature death, and improve quality of life. Duties performed on behalf of Berkshire Public Health Alliance (BPHA) member municipalities include vaccination clinics, surveillance, disease, and health event investigation and case finding of reportable diseases, and health education and wellness activities.

Principal Transportation Planner
Anuja Koirala serves as a Principal Planner for transportation planning projects involving highway projects and transit planning. Anuja is responsible for the development of the Regional Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).

Nick Russo serves as BRPC's lead staff person for regional transportation planning, including road condition pavement management, safety and performance measures, corridor planning, and bicycle and pedestrian planning.
