How can seniors live in their homes longer? Find out at this workshop

NORTH ADAMS — How can Berkshire seniors live in their homes longer? A seminar organized by the Berkshire Regional Planning Commission aims to answer that.

The session will run from 7 to 8 p.m. Oct. 14 at Steeple City Social at 5 Eagle St. in North Adams. It will discuss how to utilize the state’s home modification loan program.

“Some folks just couldn’t make it down to Pittsfield, so we wanted to extend this opportunity to North County,” said Brett Roberts, principal planner at the planning commission.

This workshop will functionally be the same as the one that took place in Pittsfield in August, Roberts said, with the Home Modification Loan Program funding this session.
