Lee receives $450k in state funding to repave road, conduct revitalization study

LEE — Marble Street in Lee is scheduled to get a new makeover — and it won’t add to Lee residents’ tax bills.

The repaving and regrading of Marble Street is being funded through a grant, according to a state announcement. Lee also received another award to produce a study on downtown revitalization, which will look at, among other things, parking and pedestrian access. The two awards combined for a $450,000 allotment for Lee.

“That whole neighborhood off of Marble Street was done [last year],” said Town Administrator Chris Brittain. “Now with Marble Street, the whole neighborhood will have all new paving.”
