Lenox wants to know how you use its parks and open spaces

LENOX — The town is seeking the public’s help for an updated Open Space and Recreation Plan.

An online survey, running until Dec. 1, will help identify top-priority open space projects for the next 10 years and make the town eligible for numerous state grants, said Land Use Director and Town Planner Eammon Coughlin.

He’s hoping at least 1,000 people respond to the survey at www.townoflenox.com/osrp.

“Quite a few places are open to the public that folks aren’t aware of,” he said. “The survey is a good way to take stock of what we have and make a plan for places that bring the community together and help people stay healthy and active.”

The Open Space and Recreation Plan Advisory Working Group is coordinating the survey and the updated plan with help from the Berkshire Regional Planning Commission.
