Point 32 Foundation
This funding from the Point 32 Foundation will support the formation of a sustainable Age Friendly Berkshires (AFB) Advisory Board from the current Healthy Aging Working Group. The Advisory Board will create an AFB “healthy aging in all things” toolkit applicable to all Berkshire municipalities, using the experience and expertise of the partner network of partner organizations and their participants to help organizations implement localized strategies tailored to their residents and geographies. Age Friendly Berkshires will also enact a peer-to-peer mental health skill-building model that reaches older adults (~65+) who may be at risk of social isolation that builds trust, strengthens social connection, and supports early identification of mental health needs.
