BRPC will serve as the Grant Manager for an EPA Brownfields Cleanup Grant awarded to the nonprofit, Greylock FLUME, Inc. The grant is to implement the Greylock Flume South Wing Remediation Project, which includes addressing unsafe conditions, abatement of hazardous building material, and remediation and off-site disposal of contaminated soils. Select demolition and the construction of a temporary gravel ramp are needed for equipment to safely access the site. Contaminated wood flooring and deteriorated decking material will be removed along with the repair of the dilapidated roof and replacement of windows containing hazardous materials. Once remediated the South Wing will be repurposed to house the Greylock Gastronomy Lab: a regional hub for research, innovation, and development serving the creation of sustainable food and agriculture systems. BRPC will be part of the project team, will provide grant management and technical assistance.
