Berkshire Regional Planning Commission’s financial statements of governmental activities are audited annually by a certified public accountant. The CPA’s responsibilities follow generally accepted auditing standards in the USA and the standards applicable to financial audits in Government Auditing Standards issued by the Comptroller General of the United States and the auditing requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). BRPC complies with the requirements of the OMB Compliance Supplement for major federal programs.
For the fiscal year 2023, Berkshire Regional Planning Commission received an unmodified (clean) opinion on its annual financial statements.
