$20Join Us! On Thursday, May 29th, BRPC will host an in-person “5th Thursday” networking and learning event with guest presenter Corrin Meise-Munns, Land Use Planning Manager from the MA Executive Office of Energy & Environmental Affairs.
Topic: Massachusetts Integrated Land Use Strategy
In this presentation, Corrin will introduce the Massachusetts Integrated Land Use Strategy (MILUS), an interagency initiative currently in its early stages. This presentation will introduce the project’s purpose, objectives, and workplan, emphasizing how it will guide coordinated the Commonwealth’s land use policies and investments to advance housing, clean energy, conservation, and economic development goals. Corrin will outline the project’s concept, planned deliverables, and anticipated applications.

Corrin Meise-Munns is an experienced land use and environmental planner specializing in regulatory reform for climate resilience and low-impact development. Corrin recently joined the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy & Environmental Affairs as Land Use Planning Manager. Prior to this position, Corrin served as the Assistant Town Manager and Director of Planning & Community Development for the Town of Longmeadow, MA, and as Senior Land Use Planner with the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission. Her work has earned accolades, most recently including the 2025 Vernon Deines Honor Award for an Outstanding Small Town or Rural Plan, Small Jurisdiction from the Small Town and Rural Planning (STaR) division of the American Planning Association, and the APA-MA 2024 Outstanding Planning Project Award–both for the Town of Longmeadow’s Climate Resilient Long-Range Plan. Corrin holds an MS in Ecological Design and Land Use Planning from The Conway School.
