BRPC worked with the City of North Adams’ Commission on Disabilities and Office of Community Development to conduct an ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan. The Massachusetts Office on Disability graciously provided the funding for the plan’s development.

The project included an analysis of all city-owned properties, policies and procedures, sidewalks and crosswalks in the downtown, and web content for Americans with Disabilities Act and Massachusetts Architectural Access Board compliance. The Transition Plan is a detailed inventory of those barriers with solutions the city can pursue in the coming years.
