To further its efforts to create a more inclusive government, Alford obtained funding from the Massachusetts Office on Disability to conduct an ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan.
The evaluation identifies accessibility barriers to goods and services. The transition plan establishes a roadmap for towns to increase accessibility and enables the community to apply for financial support to implement the established goals.
The Berkshire Regional Planning Commission assisted Alford in conducting the assessments and developing the plan. For more information about ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plans please contact the Community Planning Department.
